Has the tryptophan worn off yet? A cruel thing to stuff us with mere hours before we have to wait in line for Black Friday deals. Hopefully You had a good one. I did. And I finished the site! And finished this comic! Hope you like it. It won’t make full sense until you read the next one, but you may be able to guess why.
It is I, the Lone Wolf, here to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving…to ME! Ha. I am so funny. Everyday is Thanksgiving for me because everyone is always so thankful to me for saving them and letting them bask in my greatness. I can feel your thanks coming through this computer screen right now while you read this!
You have much to be thankful for. Give thanks that my website http://www.blacksnowcomic.com is FINALLY done! Sheesh, these internerds are so slow to work, it felt like that took eons. At last you can go bask in my slendor on my brand new virtual home.
You must also give thanks for this announcement: my adventures in I’M FAMOUS! will continue tomorrow! I know you must have felt lost without seeing my every antic these last few weeks, but I will return and you will rejoice. And yes, those taggers along will be there too! Perhaps we will finally see my movie made! How can it take so long? I already wrote the book!
Oh my, so much for you to thank me for. I am even told their will be many new additions and improvement to the website in the coming weeks. I am too good to you!
I leave you with this parting thought; is it better to be thankful or thanked? Pretty deep, huh?
The answer is thanked, obviously.

I know you’re probably thinking “Hey, it’s been two weeks since I saw a new comic!” It’s true. Sorry. I haven’t been keeping my word.
Why? I’ve been redoing the entire website one day at a time. Take a look at some of my progress.
The Home Page http://blacksnowcomic.com/
Balck Snow http://blacksnowcomic.com/Black-Snow-home.html
I’M FAMOUS! http://blacksnowcomic.com/famous-home-page.html
Day Camp http://blacksnowcomic.com/day-camp-home-page.html
Those and a ton of other pages. Look around and see what I’ve been up to. I’m about halfway done at this time. Most of the important pages are done. What does this mean? It will probably be a while before I put up anymore, as I’d like to finish the site first. I’m making the images in Photoshop and creating the pages in Dreamweaver. It’s not the easiest process, but it is very rewarding. It consumes a lot of my time but I’m finally able to display the comics the way I want to. I’ve always had ideas in mind of how each comic should be presented, which I’ve achieved to some extent before, but it’s really picking up now. I’m really happy with the results and basically dedicate all my free time to completing the project. I was halfway through the next Famous when I started this, and it sits quietly waiting for me on my shelf. I’ll probably get to it when that section of the site is complete, but mostly I’m just going to stay on task with completing this site.
Later I’ll write a bit on what the experience has been like, but for now I’ll get back to work.

Another phone conversation strip. As I mentioned after the last one, these are both very fun and a bit challenging. Though I drew this in a single day; started in mid-morning and finished in mid-afternoon.
Drawing Black Snow has become second nature to me and I can do it faster than most other characters. I think adding the anti hero on the chest will always be a pain, but even that has become easier. I tried a different type of stubble on him here, I first tested it on Daniel two strips ago, lines instead of dots. I think I like it better.
I do miss working on the Black Snow title, and eagerly await Alex to do the writing so I can get started on it. In case you missed the announcement on Twitter and Facebook, we’ve decided to drop the issue format and will be changing to a lengthier graphic novel. So issue 7, which was finally almost finished, will only be part of a much larger story. I’ll discuss this in more detail in the near future.
As for this strip, it is fairly dumb but funny. I always enjoy the rapport between Black Snow and Eric, though Alex tends to make Eric a bit more naive then I’d like. I’m pretty sure he meant Eric to be genuine when he asks “Really?!” but he’d have to be really stupid to be asking if what Black Snow had just said is true. So I made it more of an annoyed sarcastic response. That’s the power of the artist and the ability to interpret the writer.
A couple other details I added. One, Eric looks to be staying at a much cheaper hotel than the Lone Wolf. This room was done from memory, based on all the cheap hotels I’ve stayed at in my life. Another detail? You’ve probably picked up on this in the past, but I wanted to reemphasize that Black Snow’s apartment is not nice. It’s kind of messy and gross. We’ve basically only seen the living room and kitchen until this point, I hope to explore more of it in the future.
BTW, what the hell is a Nemo? A toy of the fish? I don’t know.

A nearly silent comic of the Lone Wolf reading the hotel bible? Why not? I think it’s pretty funny. For some reason the bible has come up several times in this comic. I wouldn’t expect any sort of religion to be brought up in this strip, but for whatever reason it continues to be. Alex nor I are religious, though I did attend a Christian elementary school and a Jesuit high school, so I am fairly well versed on the subject.
When I first read this one I thought it was really weird and not at all the tone of this strip, and I kind of still feel that way. I can’t say exactly why, mostly the punchline I guess. That being said I think it works fine and it was fun to think up what emotions he should go through and draw them…especially the laughing one! I can’t look at that panel without chuckling. It’s funny on it’s own, but quite hilarious given the context of cracking up from something in the bible.
