About Us

CoCreator, Artist, and Secondary Writer
Michael Balistreri is the Co-Creator, Artist, Secondary Writer and Web Master for Black Snow Comics. He is in his late twenties and lives in San Jose, CA with his wife and young son. He attended UC Berkeley, where he received his BA in Film in 2007. When not drawing comics, he works in video production and internet marketing. He’s been drawing all his life, though it is only within the last ten years that he became interested in comic books. He is also a life long video game player, a fan of Nintendo games in particular. When not working he’s an avid film and TV buff. He is also nature enthusiastic, who has kept a wide variety of exotic pets and currently breeds Crested Geckos.

CoCreator and Writer
Alex Siquig is the Co-Creator and Writer for Black Snow Comics. He is in his mid-twenties and lives in San Jose, CA, where he recently graduated from San Jose State University, recieving his BA in History. Some would categorize him as a so called “super senior,” as his scholastic journey was fairly slow paced. He currently works in the video production and internet marketing fields. He has been writing various creative stories all his life and always enjoys reading a good book. Alex is a very scholarly man with a great interest in politics and the current happenings of society. He has aspirations of becoming a professional writer. He also enjoys watching sports (Go Warriors!) and listening to music. He grew up reading comic books and has always had natural appreciation for the medium.

CoCreator and Artist
Mark Egan is the Co-Creator and Artist of I’m Famous in Japan! He is also the creator of his own comics Back Office and Bata Neart at his company RAWRtacular Productions, which you can read at RAWRtacular.com. He was born in Ireland, currently lives with his girlfriend in Oslo, Norway, and received his BSc in Computer Science from Griffith College Dublin. He works as an IT consultant and spent time in China teaching English, where he was the tallest redhead in the entire country! A worldly man, Mark hides his brogue accent and is fluent in English, Norwegian, Irish and Chinese. His passions are Manga and Anime, which have heavily influenced his art style. He is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, so how did he end up in this group?
