I’M FAMOUS! 30

The 2nd week in a row where you get a new comic on consecutive days!

I’m very happy with the way it came out.  You more astute fans will notice that I’ve been tweaking my style, a continuation of yesterday’s comic about the Detroit airport light tunnel.  I’m going for a bit of heavier inking than normal and I’m really trying to make the characters as expressive as possible.  These are things I’ve worked on in Black Snow, but not too much in the strips.  Now that I’m feeling pretty comfortable working with these characters in this format I feel like it’s time to start taking my style to the next level.  So far so good.

Like most of my favorite comics this one revolves around intoxication and alcoholism.  I can’t tell you exactly why, but I love drawing drunks and find it incredibly entertaining.  That’s why you’ll find it to be a common subject in my work.  And before you ask, no, I’m not a drunk myself.  I consider myself purely a social drinker.
