I really don’t have a lot to say about this one, as I covered most of my thoughts pretty extensively when discussing page 21.
So this is the end of this brief scene that gave me some room to really draw with some larger panels. I like the brevity and intensity of it, as it is a great juxtaposition to the lazy meandering silliness of the prior bar scene. As I said before, Brad is a fun guy to draw. I like this new chief too, as he has a very different vibe from the old one. A more kindly (grandfatherly?) subdued vibe, but with hints of something more intense lying beneath the surface.
My favorite thing about this page is lighting/shadows. I like the different emotions they evoke in each panel, especially the dramatic lighting of the panel with Brad silently seething.
I look forward to getting back to the cops, but on to the next scene! It’ll be a fun one.
