Day 72

Day 72 of the #365drawingchallenge is the Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This image popped into my head this morning and I’m really happy with the way it turned out. The look is inspired by the black and white Mirage comics. The looking through the slashes pose was inspired by a Wolverine comic I had as a kid that had a full cover and a ripped up cover that went over it to make it look like Wolverine had slashed it up. I always thought it looked really cool, and it just sprang to mind when I was thinking of a cool way to pose the shredder. And as regular readers know, I’m a huge TMNT fan from back when the original cartoon started when I was a little kid.
