Day 163

Day 163 of the #365drawingchallenge is a request for Darth Vader. Of course you know I’m a big Star Wars fan, and funny enough yeasterday I had a Facebook memory pop up for the time I randomly met David Prowse signing autographs at a pier. He was really cool. I also met Jake Lloyd many years later when I worked at a comic book show with him. He never had anyone in his line when I looked at him, probably because everyone hates him. He should have charged for people to punch him in the face. He would’ve made a lot of money.

This was fun to draw, because I decided to focus on the light hi-lights on a total black canvas. Very stylized, but I think it looks really cool. Long time readers should know how obsessed I am with black and white, shadows and hi-lights. I don’t know why, but it has been a big focus of my art for a very long time. So I was happy to explore it here.
