Day 171

Day 171 of the #365drawingchallenge is Crash Bandicoot. I love these games and I really like that they’ve had a revival with the recent HD treatment for the original trilogy. Even though I was pretty staunchly a a Nintendo kid I was really excited when the Playstation came around. It was so different looking, and the graphics just really captured my imagination. And this game series was one of my absolute favorites for it. That said, he’s always been a really weird looking character, and not one that I think I’ve drawn before. Here he kind of reminds me of the Boogey Man from the Real Ghostbusters cartoon, which was a really scary character when I was a kid. The oversized head and pointy hair in particular. I don’t think Crash was ever meant to be scary, and often he comes off as funny, but I do think there is something a little creepy about him. So I incorporated that here.
