Day 196

Day 196 of the #365drawingchallenge is Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street. I really liked Sesame Street growing up. My first two kids weren’t super into it and didn’t watch much, but my third loves it. It is her go to show. And she loves Elmo, which I drew for her earlier this year. It’s actually kind of fun to rewatch and see things I remember. Some of the parodies and stuff are amusing too.

I always liked Oscar, you don’t get a lot of negative grumps like him in kids shows, especially if they aren’t a villain. I think Oscar is really funny. Then I got the spirit animal idea and thought it was good. I could see hanging this or printing it on something. And it was fun to draw. I like drawing puppets and trying to capture the simple shapes and add a bit of dimension to them.
