Day 223

Day 223 of the #365drawingchallenge is the Mexican folk legend La Llorona. As I’ve mentioned before I like ghost stories, and Mexican folklore, so this one is right up my alley. I just watched a recent movie based on the tale and it was pretty good. I’ve seen it pop up in various supernatural pop culture things more over the last ten years or so, so it seems like it is one of the more well known stories. My drawing came out kind of manish, which is kind of hard not to do when you want them to be angry and ugly. It’s not based on any particular source, just the overall idea of the way the character looks.
