Day 229
Day 229 of the #365drawingchallenge is horror icon, the King of the Zombies, George A. Romero. As you could probably guess by this point I’m a pretty big horror guy, and I love the living dead films. I have a ton of respect for the man who basically created the modern zombie. Before Night of the Living Dead zombies were basically of the voodoo variety, and essentially just mindless hypnotized people. So the horror genre was really influenced by his film, and it is just as strong today as it ever was. I was sad to see him pass a couple years ago. Celebrity deaths are a strange thing, because we can feel so much attachment to someone who never even knew we existed or the impact they had on us. And here’s a fun fact, I spent the night of my 21st birthday acting in a black and white zombie movie in a KFC, covered in chocolate syrup which served as blood.
