Day 251

Day 251 of the #365drawingchallenge is the man who drew the best selling comic book of all time, and gave us classics like Batman: Hush and Superman: For Tomorrow, Jim Lee. The way he uses shadows and depicts muscle detail is amazing and distinctly his own. I’ve appreciated his art more and more as I’ve gotten older. And I’ve found some of his shadow drawing tutorials to be really helpful. I once worked a show where I was positioned across from him, and the non-stop line of fans wanting to meet him was incredible. So I did not get the chance to talk to him, and was slightly annoyed that my position basically added to my booth being ignored by the throng of Lee worshippers. He’s a consummate professional, and the greatest Lee (plus it’s his real last name, not like that faker) in comics.
