Day 276

Day 276 of the #365drawingchallenge continues #31DaysOfHalloween with the classic Universal Monster, Boris Karloff as Frankenstein’s monster. I really like Frankenstein, or Frankenstein’s monster, or whatever you want to call him. He and the Wolfman are my favorites. The use of science to create life is fascinating. I love everything about it. And I love the village settings of the movies. They are just beautiful. Everything about these movies are just great, aside from some continuity goofs. That’s true of all these old Universal monster movies though. Back then it was a lot harder to see the movies, you basically saw it in the theater then it went away and when a sequel came out years later it was just up to your foggy memory to fill in the details. So it was an audience much more accepting of changes that didn’t worry about the details. I’ve seen a lot of other takes on Frankenstein, and while some our good none live up to these classics. Just the inventive iconic look of the monster alone sets them apart.
