CatDog

I wanted to continue the style I had done with those Aaahh!! Real Monsters drawings, and CatDog seemed like a good follow up. For a silly comedy the character design and concept is kind of grotesque. And I wanted to focus on that here. The strange body shape and the horror of being conjoined to another species. I didn’t want to go overboard with changes though, as the original design is already pretty freaky. I focused on the pose to help illustrate the creepiness. I went back and forth on giving them pupils, but I liked it without better. This is pretty much my natural style at this point, so I’m very comfortable drawing stuff like this.
