Skull – Evil Dead

I love the Evil Dead series and Bruce Campbell, but when I was a kid I used to stare at this VHS box art at the video store and had no idea what it was. It’s really creepy and does not represent the horror / comedy of the movie well at all. But I love it just the same. It’s one of those covers I’d look at every time but never rent. Some cover really stick with you, and it’s really a lost art at this point. It was fun to draw since I really like drawing skulls and eyes, and it let me get pretty detailed. I’m trying to work on my shading with colors lately, doing my best to capture the texture of what I’m drawing, and I think I did a pretty good job here.
