Oogie Boogie

Oogie Boogie

As mentioned yesterday with my Jack Skellington Drawing, I love the Nightmare Before Christmas. It’s one of my favorite movies. It holds a lot of nostalgia but also holds up incredibly well. All the character designs are great, even side characters. The Oogie Boogie man is a bit under developed in all honesty, but what a memorable presence. If you watch the animatics for the original ending it gives you some insight into why the Oogie Boogie Man was a little half baked, since originally he was just going to be a disguise for the true villain, Dr. Finkelstein. My wife actually had a doctor with that name at one point. I’m glad they didn’t go with that original ending. I do wish they gave us a little more insight into Oogie Boogie though.
