Rogue Cinema review of Black Snow The Complete Original Comic Book Series

Black Snow (2014) – By Jason S. Lockard

Black SnowDigital comics are all the rage now! Being able to take your comics with you everywhere is something people just love. But when digital comics was in it’s infancy there was an underground comic book entitled Black Snow! Now this comic gets a print release for the first time ever. The book is about an evil crime lord who is plotting to rule the city of Detroit. The Motor City’s only hope of survival against this plot, is a chain smoking alcoholic super hero wannabe named Black Snow and his misfit friends. Will Black Snow rise up to be the hero the Motor City needs? You’ll have to read the comic to find out!

This book in one amazing collection of 198 pages. The black and white art has a very mysterious film noir feel, yet it is light hearted at times. It’s a perfect mix. You can tell while reading this book that the artist grew in his style as the book moved along. So the artwork is a little crude, but it gets a little better as the book goes along.

Black Snow was created and written by Alex Siquig and Michael Balistreri with artwork done by Michael Balistreri. If your picking this up don’t go into this thinking your getting a Marvel or DC comic you’ll be disappointed. But if you want a wacky off the wall kind of story with some characters with issues this is the one for you. Also note there is some adult language so this is not for the kiddies.

If you would like more information or if you would like to pick up a copy of this book for the great price of $9.99 I highly recommend you head over to www.BlackSnowComics.com today!
