Kickstarter Progress

 

Things are moving along pretty well with our Kickstarter. We’re just at our halfway point, meaning we’ve been live for 20 days and we have 20 more days to go. We’re also just past the halfway point on the goal, as we’ve raised $1,060 of the $2,000. So it’s looking like we may actually do it this time.

The support from friends and family has been very touching. The backing from strangers is very exciting and makes me feel confident that there is an audience for this book. Hopefully we’ll get even more of that.

We’ve recently added 2 stretch goals to the project.

$2,000 Regular Black Snow Comics contributor and all around nice guy Mark Egan is throwing in a digital copy his upcoming book Back Office Volume 1 for all of the backers if our $2,000 goal is reached!

$2,500 All backers of $20 or more will get the Black Snow Drink Mix Guide!  A printed mini-book featuring a collection of alcoholic mix drinks inspired by your favorite Black Snow: Two Drink Minimum characters.

So I’m very excited about both of those. Mark’s work in Back Office is a lot of fun, and if you enjoyed his stuff in I’m Famous in Japan! you’ll really like it. The mix drink guide is something I’ve wanted to do for awhile, and should be really entertaining. I’m looking forward to working on it with Alex. Hopefully we’ll come up with some tasty stuff that represents the comics well. If there’s one thing Alex knows it’s booze, so I’m pretty sure he’ll have some good ideas for that.

As always, a big part of our success will be because of you and your continued sharing of our project. We really appreciate it, and we’ll keep trying to come up with fun stretch goals to make sure you’re rewarded for all your support.
