Now Ad Free

Last week I decided to make some changes to the website.  Most notably I got rid of the sidebars.  Simplicity is what’s in these days, and I like the less cluttered look.

I also got rid of all the advertising and linking out to various comic voting sites.  They were lame.  I don’t like seeing a bunch of stupid ads when I’m trying to enjoy a site, so why should I have them on my site?  They also seemed to be increasing the page load time, and I don’t want people to have to deal with that.

It might have been a harder decision if I had been making some buco dinero, but in reality the ads from Google, Amazon and Project Wonderful were barely bringing in anything anyway.  So I won’t loose any sleep over it.

As for all those voting sites and comic directory links?  Meh.  Who cares?  They weren’t doing anything for me, and lost interest in trying to pander to those types of things long ago.

I also tweaked things a bit to fit the new single column format better and did some other clean up, so take some time to explore the site and let me know what you think!
