Day 37

Day 37 of my #365daychallenge is the Tick, another personal favorite. I’ve been a fan since I first saw the cartoon on Fox Kids when I was little. It is one of the few comics I actually collect single issues of and it has had a definite impact on me as an artist. The Tick along with Space Ghost a little later showed me what the parody side of super heroes could be, and it directly influenced me on Black Snow and I’m Famous! The Lone Wolf in particular has a lot of Tick to him. I love drawing the Tick because he has such a unique look and is so expressive. And he is so big! Like a giant child. I’m happy with the way this came out, and the color effects I used. I experimented with the pressure sensitive coloring on my Maxx drawing recently and thought I’d try it again.
