Day 83

Day 83 of the #365drawingchallenge is a request for Jace Beleren, The Mind Sculpture from Magic the Gathering. I remember when this game came out and it was super popular despite also being super nerdy. Somehow I even ended up with a few cards, even though I don’t think I ever played it. Businesses opened to primarily serve as spaces for people to buy the cards and play. It was a phenomenon and it seems like it is still around from when I took my son to a comic store to play Pokemon cards. That said, I don’t have much connection to the game and had no idea who this character was. He was cool looking though, and I like drawing hooded or cloaked figures with flowing capes, so this fit in nicely.
