Day 167

Day 167 of the #365drawingchallenge is a request for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as they appeared in the original Mirage Studios comics. It’s kind of a coincidence that this pairs nicely with the variant cover that I drew yesterday. As you probably know I’m a big TMNT fan, and I do have a collection of the first 6 issues that my son and I have been reading lately. I’ll probably get the next volume since we’ve been enjoying it so much. I did not read them as a kid, though I did grow up on the cartoons. It is a pretty big difference to read the source material, in some ways it’s better and in some ways they improved things for the cartoon. Anyway, it’s worth reading and remembering where TMNT came from.
