Day 177

Day 177 of the #365drawingchallenge is Guybrush Threepwood from the Monkey Island series. Another point and click adventure series that I loved. I was pretty obsessed with pirates, so a humorous pirate video game was just about the best thing I could ask for. Before the Pirates of the Caribbean movies came out pirate focused media was far and between, so this was big. They are great games with lovable characters and fun stories. The art style tends to change from game to game, so I had a lot of choices as far as how to depict ol’ Guybrush. And yes, he’s holding Murray the demonic skull. It’s funny, I had someone tell me my comic book art reminded them of these games, which I took as a high compliment.
