Day 209

Day 209 of the #365drawingchallenge is a request for Bambi as Black Panther. This person requested this awhile ago on DeviantArt and recently requested it again, so I thought it was about time to do it again. Their original request had some other details that I thought were pretty weird, as DeviantArt requests tend to be, but this time he just asked for Bambi to be wearing the Black Panther armor. So while that is maybe a little odd it’s fine. The thing that I find especially odd about DeviantArt requests is that they request the same things a lot from people, so this guy has an entire collection of Bambi Black Panther now. Why? I don’t know.

Anyway, this was actually kind of fun to draw. Mash ups have been the hot thing for years now, and I’ve been told I should do more of them. Maybe. Bambi is an interesting character because he is so gangly. Those long thin legs really make him stand out. Not to mention the whole deer anatomy. So covering that up in a Black Panther suit is kind of an interesting prospect. This is also a much more modern Black Panther look than the very classic style Black Panther that I drew earlier this year. I wanted to do it this way because I thought it would be more recognizable, plus I’m trying not to repeat myself much in this challenge.
