Day 267

Day 267 of the #365drawingchallenge wants you to take a bite out of crime, McGruff the Crime Dog. If you don’t remember this dog, he was on PSAs in the 80s and 90s when I was a kid trying to teach you about how to stop or prevent crimes. I don’t know why. We had a lot of PSAs to teach us stuff like not to do drugs or pick up trash. Something reminded me of him yesterday, so I figured I’d draw him today. And I wanted it to look like this dog has seen some shit. And yes, I did think of him with our dog headed detective character, Redmond, from Black Snow. Though I don’t think we thought of it as inspiration or anything. I really don’t remember.
