Day 318

Day 318 of the #365drawingchallenge is Jose, one of the parrots from Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. I love the Tiki Room. I’ve loved it since I was a little kid. As a teenager my bedroom was sort of themed after it with fishnets hanging around my bed with parrots and monkeys and seashells and stuff in it. It was actually pretty cool, and before it became easier to find that type of stuff. Oh yeah, I also love tikis and have a decent collection of them. Along those lines I’ve also always really been into pirates, so they all kind of go together. Anyway, this just popped into my head. Why Jose? I think he’s the most colorful and I wanted to use a lot of colors. Anyway, the Tiki Room is in my top 3 Disney attractions, right up there with the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. I kind of wish I could have been around for the boom in tiki culture in America, but it’s fun to look back at all that retro stuff.
