Day 333

Day 333 of the #365drawingchallenge is some good old fashioned consumerism for Black Friday. I was out of town for Thanksgiving so I just brought my pens and paper to draw. This image just sort of came to me, and I wanted to do something different than what I’d been doing. I haven’t done much political or making a statement in awhile, and I’ve always had mixed success with them in the past. People don’t tend to get what I’m trying to say. Maybe I’m not very good with abstract ideas or symbols. I’d like to think shoveling money into a giants mouth is fairly obvious though. Maybe too obvious, I don’t know. Also, consumerism…get it. Double meaning? Ugh. Well I thought it was good. And I like the contrast of the very cartoony and more realistic here. And just the overall surreal visual.
