Monty Python Black Knight

I’m not the world’s biggest Monty Python fan, but I did see the Spamalot musical and watched Holy Grail in an empty theater a friend worked at. So I am a fan. I know a lot of the quotes, have seen some of the movies and the more famous skits from the show. Holy Grail and Life of Brian are pretty much tied for my favorites, and always make me laugh. Of course the Black Knight scene is one of the most memorable, especially the flesh wound line. But I actually think it’s funnier when the knight insists he’s had worse when his first arm is cut off. It’s just so absurd. The whole scene is just brilliant, and the black knight’s refusal to give up just cracks me up. I think of it at times when it’s clear someone should just stop but won’t.
