The Great Mutato

This is your classic misunderstood monster with some direct illusions to Frankenstein, and one of my favorite episodes of the X-Files. It’s got a really unique style, it’s the black and white episode. I decided to draw him in color though, because I thought it would look better. Beyond the black and white there is a real style and flourish to the way the episode was directed. And it’s a very weird episode, in both plot and tone. It’s also one of the few that ends on a happy note.
